Connector is a very common connecting element. It has many types. Aviation connector belongs to a very common category. It is also called aviation plug by industry insiders. Since the connector is often connected by two contacts, yin and yang, but the aviation plug is special, not all aviation plugs have a male, so what is its specific structure? The question will let you understand structure of the product.

Roughly speaking, the structure of the aviation connector can be divided into three parts, that is, the contact body, the insulator, and the shell, which are as follows:

1. Contact body. Generally, it is formed by cutting or no cutting, and most of them are used. Cylindrical pins and sockets, because this structure is relatively simple, and the contact is strong, and can be suitable for processing into various specifications of products.

2. Insulators. The insulator belongs to the insulating member of the fixed contact body, and its main function is to form electrical insulation between the contact bodies, and it can also have positioning, guidance and sealing. The structure and materials used for insulators will directly affect the overall mechanical and electrical properties. At present, the more common insulator materials are glass, rubber, plastic and so on.

3. Shell. The shell mainly plays the role of a fixed base to protect the insulator. Since it has structures such as locking, positioning, and guiding, it can allow the aviation connector to work normally. At present, there are many ways of locking the housing, and the common ones are snaps, threads, and in-line self-locking, so as to ensure convenient connection.

It can be seen that the basic structure of the aviation connector is divided into three parts, namely the contact body, the insulator and the shell. Without any part, it cannot be made into a complete product, because each of them has its own irreplaceable function.
